Sensex down 36pts; HDFC drops 2%

The Sensex is now down 36 points at 10,732.

BHEL, NTPC and Bharti Airtel have gained over 2% each at Rs 1,960, Rs 117 and Rs 374, respectively.

HDFC has slipped 2% to Rs 1,202. Reliance and SBI have declined 1.3% each to Rs 1,068 abd Rs 739, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Reliance Energy are down over 1% each at Rs 480 and Rs 464, respectively.

Out of 2,354 stocks traded so far, 1,163 have advanced, 1,104 have declined and 87 are unchanged.
