Sensex down 37pts; ACC, REL spurt 3%

The Sensex is now down 37 points at 9337.

ACC and Reliance Energy (REL) have spurted 3% each to Rs 552 and Rs 612, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Larsen & Toubro, BHEL, Hindalco and HDFC Bank continue to trade in positive zone.

ICICI Bank, Reliance, Tata Steel, TCS and Infosys have declined around 1.5% each at Rs 574, Rs 872, Rs 361, Rs 1,627 and Rs 2,806, respectively.

Grasim at Rs 1,430 and NTPC at Rs 114 have dropped 1% each.

Out of 2,538 stocks traded so far, 1,109 have advanced, 1,363 have declined and the rest are unmoved.

Reliance continues to top the value chart with a turnover of Rs 495.26 crore followed by Educomp Solutions (Rs 197.52 crore), Bartroncis (Rs 83.39 crore), SBI (Rs 76.81 crore) and Infosys (Rs 52.70 crore).

Bartronics leads the volume chart with trades of around 65.89 lakh shares followed by Educomp Solutions (61.35 lakh shares), Reliance (56.93 lakh shares), Radhav Madhav (38.86 lakh shares) and Rana Sugars (25.42 lakh shares).
