Sensex down 37pts at 10,046

The Sensex has staged a smart recovery and is now down 37 points at 10,046.

Cipla has gained over 8% at Rs 553. NTPC has surged 2% to Rs 122.

Maruti has rallied 1.8% to Rs 769. Tata Power is up 1.4% at Rs 499.

Infosys, Reliance Energy and Ranbaxy have added 1% each to Rs 2,903, Rs 601 and Rs 411, respectively.

ACC, ONGC and Gujarat Ambuja are also in positive zone.

Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro have dropped nearly 3% each to Rs 397 and Rs 2,209, respectively.

HDFC Bank has declined 2.2% to Rs 755, and Wipro is down 1.9% at Rs 510.

Dr.Reddy's, Hindalco, ITC, ICICI Bank and HDFC have slipped over 1% each.
