Sensex down 383pts; Hindalco, HLL lead fall

The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 107 points at 10,680. The index plunged to a low of 10,392 - down 395 points from the previous close.

The index is now down 383 points at 10,404.

There is no gainer among the Sensex stocks.

Hindalco has plunged 5.5% to Rs 175. HLL and Maruti have tumbled 5% each to Rs 229 and Rs 728, respectively.

Hero Honda, ITC and Bajaj Auto have slumped over 4.5% each to Rs 766, Rs 169 and Rs 2,700, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja (Rs 91), Wipro (Rs 450), Cipla (Rs 231) and Dr.Reddy's (Rs 1,311) are down over 4% each.
