Sensex down 385pts; Maruti declines 4%

The Sensex is now down 385 points at 18,896.

ICICI Bank has slumped 5.5% to Rs 1,104. Maruti has tumbled over 4% to Rs 968.

NTPC has plunged 3.8% to Rs 250. HDFC Bank, Reliance Energy and Larsen & Toubro have shed 3.5% each at Rs 1,575, Rs 1,732 and Rs 4,183, respectively.

BHEL has slipped over 3% to Rs 2,570. Hindalco, Mahindra & Mahindra, ITC and Tata Steel have dropped 2.5% each to Rs 189, Rs 713, Rs 192 and Rs 839, respectively.

SBI have declined 2.2% to Rs 2,230. ONGC, Wipro and Ranbaxy are down 2% each at Rs 1,197, Rs 440 and Rs 406, respectively.

Out of 2,772 stocks traded so far, 1,824 have declined, 903 have advanced and 45 are unchanged.
