Sensex down 38pts; Hero Honda, Bajaj weak

The Sensex has slipped back into the negative zone and is now down 38 points at 13,612.

HDFC has surged 2.5% to Rs 1,642. Maruti and Tata Steel have rallied 1.5% each to Rs 887 and Rs 476, respectively.

ACC, Reliance Communications and Grasim are up over 1% each at Rs 957, Rs 430 and Rs 2,367, respectively.

Hero Honda has shed 2.7% to Rs 687. Bajaj Auto has dropped 2.4% to Rs 2,747.

ICICI Bank has slipped 1.6% to Rs 892. ONGC is down over 1% to Rs 825.

Out of 2,323 stocks traded so far, 1,547 have advanced, 721 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
