Sensex down 38pts; Maruti rallies 3%

The Sensex is now down 38 points at 14,380.

Gujarat Ambuja and Bajaj Auto have slipped around 2% each to Rs 116 and Rs 2,205, respectively.

SBI and Infosys have shed 1.5% each to Rs 1,327 and Rs 1,934, respectively.

Maruti has rallied 2.8% to Rs 843. Tata Motors has surged 2% to Rs 740.

Tata Steel has gained 1.6% at Rs 633, and HDFC Bank has added 1.4% to Rs 1,118.

Ranbaxy and BHEL are up over 1% each at Rs 404 and Rs 2,667, respectively.

Out of 2,229 stocks traded so far, 1,214 have declined, 948 have advanced and 67 are unchanged.
