Sensex down 39pts; Hindalco drops 3%

The Sensex is now down 39 points at 13,976.

ITC and Hindalco have shed nearly 3% each to Rs 171 and Rs 175, respectively.

Hero Honda has slipped over 2% to Rs 761. Wipro, Grasim, HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, Cipla and HDFC have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 611, Rs 2,795, Rs 1,050, Rs 465, Rs 254 and Rs 1,584, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's, Tata Motors and Reliance Energy have gained around 2% each at Rs 825, Rs 958 and Rs 535, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Ranbaxy and ICICI Bank are up over 1% each to Rs 1,493, Rs 416 and Rs 903, respectively.

Out of 2,459 stocks traded so far, 1,551 have advanced, 841 have declined and 67 are unchanged.
