Sensex down 39pts; Satyam, Guj Amb drag

The Sensex is now down 39 points at 14,613.

Gujarat Ambuja has shed 2.5% to Rs 138. Satyam has slipped 2.3% to Rs 475.

ACC and Reliance Communications have shed 1.8% each to Rs 1,048 and Rs 480, respectively.

Reliance Energy has dropped 1.3% to Rs 558. Infosys and Maruti are down 1% each at Rs 2,345 and Rs 954, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has advanced 3.7% to Rs 3,120. Tata Motors and HDFC Bank are up nearly 1% each at Rs 904 and Rs 1,110, respectively.

The market breadth is very negative - out of 2,496 stocks traded, 1,664 have declined, 781 have advanced and 51 are unchanged.
