Sensex down 3pts; pvt banks, FMCG stocks slip

The Sensex is now down three points at 12,350.

HDFC has surged 2.5% to Rs 1,475. Wipro has spurted 1.2% to Rs 535.

TCS, Reliance, Dr.Reddy's and Infosys are the other notable gainers.

ICICI Bank has dropped 1.7% to Rs 676. HDFC Bank has shed 1.3% to Rs 952.

HLL and ITC have slipped over 1% each to Rs 232 and Rs 184, respectively.

Cipla, Hero Honda, Larsen & Toubro and BHEL are the other prominent losers.

Out of 2,236 stocks traded so far, 1,176 have declined, 993 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
