Sensex down 40pts; BHEL gains 2%

The Sensex is now down 40 points at 14,378.

BHEL has surged over 2% to Rs 2,694. HDFC Bank and Reliance Energy have rallied 1.8% each to Rs 1,123 and Rs 561, respectively.

Tata Steel, Reliance Communications and Dr.Reddy's are up over 1% each at Rs 631, Rs 512 and Rs 664, respectively.

Bajaj Auto and Infosys have slipped over 1% each to Rs 2,223 and Rs 1,940, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja and Hero Honda are the other notable losers.
