Sensex down 40pts; NTPC, Ranbaxy move up

The Sensex is now down 40 points at 19,936.

ONGC has plunged 2.7% to Rs 1,329.

HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra and HDFC Bank have slipped over 1.5% each to Rs 2,610, Rs 744 and Rs 1,733, respectively.

Tata Motors, Infosys and Reliance have dropped 1.3% each to Rs 745, Rs 1,883 and Rs 2,678, respectively.

Grasim, Wipro and Dr.Reddy's are down over 1% each at Rs 3,700, Rs 486 and Rs 608, respectively.

NTPC and Ranbaxy have surged 2.5% each to Rs 241 and Rs 449, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Cipla have advanced over 2% each to Rs 915 and Rs 177, respectively.

SBI, Hindalco and Reliance Communications are up around 1% each at Rs 2,282, Rs 190 and Rs 793, respectively.
