Sensex down 416pts; Reliance drops 7%

The Sensex is now down 293 points at 9364.

HDFC Bank has plunged over 10% to Rs 645. Reliance Energy has tumbled over 8% to Rs 370.

HLL and Tata Power have dropped over 7% each to Rs 204 and Rs 428, respectively.

Reliance has shed 6.8% to Rs 831. Dr.Reddy's and Bajaj Auto are down 6.5% at Rs 1,188 and Rs 2,370, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel have declined around 6% each.

NTPC is up over 1% at Rs 102.

Out of a total of 2,373 stocks traded so far, 2,193 have declined, 154 have advanced and 26 are unchanged.
