Sensex down 427pts; BHEL, Bharti drop 4%

The Sensex tumbled to a low of 15,076, and is now down 427 points at 15,124.

All index stocks are in negative zone.

BHEL and Bharti Airtel have slumped 4% each to Rs 1,663 and Rs 869, respectively.

HDFC, Tata Motors and ACC have plunged 3.5% each to Rs 1,945, Rs 675 and Rs 1,023, respectively.

Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have tumbled 3.3% each to Rs 540 and Rs 1,159, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and ONGC have shed 3% each to Rs 200, Rs 900 and Rs 887, respectively.

Hindalco, Larsen & Toubro, Ambuja Cements, TCS, Ranbaxy, Grasim, SBI, Wipro, NTPC and Reliance are down 2-3% each.
