Sensex down 42pts; Tata Motors, HLL drag

The Sensex has slipped back into the negative zone and is now down 42 points at 13,340.

Tata Motors and Hero Honda have tumbled over 3% each to Rs 836 and Rs 730, respectively.

HLL and HDFC Bank have shed 2.5% each to Rs 219 and Rs 1,012, respectively.

Grasim and Bajaj Auto have slipped 1.5% each to Rs 2,675 and Rs 2,513, respectively.

Tata Steel has gained 2.5% at Rs 466. Maruti has gained 2% at Rs 927.

ONGC, ITC, Cipla, HDFC and ACC are the other major gainers.

Out of 2,585 stocks traded so far, 1,332 have declined, 1,177 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
