Sensex down 441pts; Infosys down 4%

The Sensex is now down 441 points at 18,222.

The NSE Nifty is down 133 points at 5,351.

Infosys, Satyam, Bharti Airtel and Wipro have dropped over 4% each to Rs 1,543, Rs 420, Rs 897 and Rs 436, respectively.

Hindalco and Tata Motors have plunged around 3.5% each to Rs 175 and Rs 730, respectively.

DLF and TCS have tumbled 3% each to Rs 864 and Rs 921, respectively.

Maruti and Ranbaxy have slipped 2.8% each to Rs 848 and Rs 377, respectively.

Grasim, Tata Steel and Bajaj Auto have declined 2.5% each to Rs 2,902, Rs 798 and Rs 2,345, respectively.

Reliance and ONGC are down 2.3% each at Rs 2,555 and Rs 1,050, respectively.
