Sensex down 44pts; Guj Amb slumps 8%

The Sensex has slipped back into the negative zone and is now down 44 points at 12,894.

Satyam has soared 5% to Rs 434. Wipro, HDFC Bank and TCS have rallied around 3.5% each to Rs 581, Rs 965 and Rs 1,228, respectively.

Reliance Communications has flard up over 2% to Rs 416, and Infosys has surged 1.5% to Rs 2,110.

Gujarat Ambuja has plunged 8% to Rs 107. Graism has shed 6.8% to Rs 2,063, and ACC has tumbled 5.5% to Rs 851.

Dr.Reddy's has dropped 3.6% to Rs 653, and Hindalco has shed 3% to Rs 135.

Bajaj Auto and Hero Honda have slipped around 2.5% each to Rs 2,550 and Rs 659, respectively.

Cipla, BHEL and HDFC are down around 2% each to Rs 228, Rs 2,129 and Rs 1,473, respectively.

Out of 2,463 stocks traded so far, 1,647 have declined, 746 have advanced and 70 are unchanged.
