Sensex down 44pts; market breadth marginally +ve

The Sensex is now down 44 points at 11,001.

Bajaj Auto has slipped over 2% to Rs 2,624. ITC, Satyam, Ranbaxy and Reliance have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 176, Rs 753, Rs 394 and Rs 972, respectively.

Reliance Communications and ONGC have shed 1.3% each to Rs 283 and Rs 1,188, respectively. SBI and Tata Motors are down over 1% each at Rs 855 and Rs 786, respectively.

HDFC has advanced over 2% to Rs 1,266. Cipla has added 1.8% to Rs 236, and Hindalco is up 1.5% at Rs 167.

Out of 2,402 stocks traded so far, 1,287 have advanced, 1,033 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
