Sensex down 44pts; Maruti, Tata Motors weak

The Sensex is now down 44 points at 15,553.

TCS and Satyam have slipped 1.8% each to Rs 1,028 and Rs 434, respectively. Infosys and Wipro have shed 1.6% each to Rs 1,839 and Rs 460, respectively.

Tata Motors and Maruti have dropped 1.6% each to Rs 692 and Rs 862, respectively.

Ambuja Cements, SBI, Dr.Reddy's and ICICI Bank are down over 1% each at Rs 143, Rs 1,621, Rs 652 and Rs 902, respectively.

Tata Steel has moved up 1.6% to Rs 704. HDFC has added 1.3% to Rs 2,130.

Out of 2,764 stocks traded so far, 1,365 have declined, 1,350 have declined and 49 are unchanged.
