Sensex down 45pts; breadth -ve

The Sensex is now down 45 points at 14,373.

Gujarat Ambuja and Bajaj Auto have shed around 2% each to Rs 116 and Rs 2,204, respectively.

SBI and Infosys have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,326 and Rs 1,934, respectively.

NTPC, Reliance and Wipro are down over 1% each to Rs 154, Rs 1,743 and Rs 529, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Tata Steel and Maruti have surged 1.8% each to Rs 406, Rs 634 and Rs 835, respectively.

HDFC Bank and BHEL have advanced over 1% each to Rs 1,116 and Rs 2,667, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,111 stocks traded so far, 1,177 have declined, 865 have advanced and 69 are unchanged.
