Sensex down 45pts in early trades; ONGC slips 3%

The Sensex opened 75 points lower at 10,001. The index has touched a high of 10,0092, and a low of 9,995 in early trades so far. The Sensex is now down 45 points at 10,031.

ONGC has slumped over 3% to Rs 709. ICICI Bank and Reliance have plunged over 2% each to Rs 461 and Rs 1,332, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure has shed 1.7% at Rs 590. ACC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 501, and TCS has declined over 1% to Rs 504.

Tata Steel has surged over 2% to Rs 227. Wipro and Sterlite have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 254 and Rs 276, respectively.

 

Ranbaxy has moved up 1.5% to Rs 222. Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Power are up over 1% each at Rs 312 and Rs 735, respectively.
