Sensex down 45pts; Infosys, HLL weak

The Sensex is now down 45 points at 12,229.

Satyam has slipped over 2% to Rs 840. ICICI Bank is down nearly 2% to Rs 652.

Reliance Communications has shed 1.5% to Rs 339. Dr.Reddy's, TCS, Infosys, HLL and Tata Motors are down over 1% each.

Grasim has surged over 2% to Rs 2,525. Bajaj Auto has advanced 1.5% to Rs 2,937, and Gujarat Ambuja has added 1.3% to Rs 117.

Bharti Airtel, Reliance and ACC are the other smart gainers.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,426 stocks traded so far, 1,466 have declined, 871 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
