Sensex down 464pts; Cipla, ITC move up

The Sensex is now down 464 points at 15,907.

The NSE Nifty is down 125 points at 4,817.

Infosys has slumped 6.5% to Rs 1,428. ICICI Bank and Grasim have plunged 4.7% each to Rs 796 and Rs 2,580, respectively.

HDFC Bank has tumbled 4.5% to Rs 1,338, and Satyam has shed 4% at Rs 392.

BHEL, TCS, HDFC and Larsen & Toubro have slipped around 3.5% each to Rs 2,017, Rs 839, Rs 2,522 and Rs 3,040, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, DLF and SBI have dropped nearly 3% each to Rs 233, Rs 676 and Rs 1,633, respectively.

Cipla has moved up over 2% to Rs 222, and ITC has added 1.3% to Rs 209.

Out of 2,404 stocks traded so far, 1,443 have advanced, 922 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
