Sensex down 46pts; HDFC Bank drops 3%

The Sensex is now down 46 points at 14,462.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has soared over 7% to Rs 1,994.

HDFC has rallied 1.7% to Rs 1,844. SBI and Bajaj Auto have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 1,342 and Rs 2,225, respectively.

NTPC has moved up 1.3% to Rs 163.

HDFC Bank has slipped over 3% to Rs 1,110. Reliance Energy and Reliance Communications have dropped 2% each to Rs 543 and Rs 510, respectively.

Hindalco, Infosys and ITC have shed around 1.5% each to Rs 142, Rs 1,922 and Rs 163, respectively.

HLL, Maruti, Grasim and Satyam are down over 1% each to Rs 200, Rs 810, Rs 2,479 and Rs 467, respectively.

Out of 2,587 stocks traded so far, 1,405 have declined, 1,098 have advanced and 84 are unchanged.
