Sensex down 46pts; HUL, Tata Steel up 2%

The Sensex is now down 46 points to 14,964.

Reliance Energy and ACC have soared 3% each to Rs 631 and Rs 1,067, respectively.

Tata Steel and Grasim have rallied over 2% each to Rs 648 and Rs 2,780, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has gained 1.8% at Rs 202. BHEL, Hindalco and Bajaj Auto are up over 1% each at Rs 1,585, Rs 157 and Rs 2,149, respectively.

Satyam, TCS and Infosys have plunged 3.5% each to Rs 480, Rs 1,146 and 1,951, respectively. Wipro has slipped 1.6% to Rs 512.

Ambuja Cements, Maruti and NTPC are down 1% each at Rs 129, Rs 805 and Rs 154, respectively.

Out of 2,557 stocks traded so far, 1,455 have advanced, 1,014 have declined and 88 are unchanged.
