Sensex down 46pts; Infosys, Satyam drop 5%

The Sensex has slipped back into the negative zone and is now down 46 points at 19,355.

Infosys and Satyam have slumped 5% each to Rs 1,758 and Rs 430, respectively. Wipro has plunged 3.3% to Rs 471, and TCS has slipped 1% to Rs 994.

Reliance Communications has dropped 2.5% to Rs 726. Dr.Reddy's and HDFC have slipped 2% each to Rs 601 and Rs 2,540, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Hindustan Unilever have declined 1.7% each to Rs 903 and Rs 192, respectively. Hindalco is down 1% at Rs 189.

BHEL has soared 3.7% to Rs 2,825. Reliance and SBI have surged over 2.5% each to Rs 2,725 and Rs 2,265, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Ambuja Cements have advanced 2% each to Rs 4,212 and Rs 147, respectively.

ACC and ONGC have gained 1.7% each at Rs 1,040 and Rs 1,323, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Steel are up 1% each at Rs 749 and Rs 868, respectively.
