Sensex down 47pts; market breadth negative

The Sensex is now down 47 points at 11,430.

Hindalco has dropped 2.5% to Rs 161.

Reliance Energy, Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications have declined over 1.5% each to Rs 455, Rs 510, Rs 836, Rs 408 and Rs 290, respectively.

ITC and Larsen & Toubro are down 1% each at Rs 180 and Rs 2,376, respectively.

Maruti and Cipla are up over 1.5% each at Rs 832 and Rs 248, respectively.

Tata Motors has advanced 1.3% to Rs 848. TCS is up 1% at Rs 969.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,432 stocks traded so far, 1,215 have declined, 1,144 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
