Sensex down 47pts; market breadth weak

The Sensex is now down 47 points at 10,247.

Hindalco has dropped 3.5% to Rs 162. Reliance has shed 2.5% to Rs 1,007.

Gujarat Ambuja and Larsen & Toubro have slipped over 2% each to Rs 102 and Rs 2,080, respectively.

Tata Steel and ACC have declined nearly 2% each at Rs 484 and Rs 806, respectively.

ONGC and Ranbaxy have gained 1.5% each at Rs 1,043 and Rs 325, respectively.

Satyam, Wipro and Bharti Airtel are up over 1% each at Rs 690, Rs 482 and Rs 358, respectively.

Out of 2,276 stocks traded so far, 1,686 have declined, 520 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
