Sensex down 48pts; breadth +ve again

The Sensex is now down 48 points at 15,556.

TCS, NTPC and Bharti Airtel have dropped around 2% each to Rs 1,001, Rs 182 and Rs 816, respectively.

Satyam has shed 1.7% to Rs 423, and Reliance Communications has slipped 1.5% to Rs 535.

HDFC, Infosys and ICICI Bank are down 1% each at Rs 2,192, Rs 1,811 and Rs 898, respectively.

Reliance Energy has surged 3% to Rs 909. ACC and Maruti have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 1,122 and Rs 878, respectively.

The market breadth has turned positive again - out of 2,778 stocks traded so far, 1,402 have advanced, 1,326 have declined and 50 are unchanged.
