Sensex down 48pts; Satyam, Wipro slip 2%

The Sensex is now down 48 points at 13,887.

Satyam and Wipro have shed 2% each to Rs 461 and Rs 556, respectively.

Hindalco and Dr.Reddy's have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 146 and Rs 709, respectively. Tata Motors and ICICI Bank have slipped 1.2% each to Rs 724 and Rs 845, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Cipla are down 1% each at Rs 465 and Rs 215, respectively.

Ranbaxy has surged 1.7% to Rs 389. Hero Honda and Reliance have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 708 and Rs 1,606, respectively.

Out of 2,584 stocks traded so far, 1,334 have declined, 1,177 have advanced and 73 are unchanged.
