Sensex down 49pts, tech scrips decline

The Sensex has dropped 49 points to 9,472.

HDFC has slipped more than 2% (Rs 30) to Rs 1,220. Tata Steel is still down over 2% at Rs 354.

Wipro has declined 1.8% (Rs 9) to Rs 487. Satyam is now down Rs 13 at Rs 730. Infosys is still down Rs 40 at Rs 2,771. TCS has slipped Rs 25 to Rs 1,616.

ITC is still up 2.5% (Rs 4) at Rs 151. ONGC has moved up 1.5% (Rs 18) to Rs 1,264.

Advances and declines are evenly matched - out of 2,309 scrips traded till now, 1,226 have moved up, 1,015 have declined and 68 are unchanged.
