Sensex down 4pts; RNRL zooms 36%

The Sensex is now down four points to 16,344.

RNRL zooms 36%

Reliance Natural Resources has zoomed nearly 36% to Rs 77 on the back of hefty volumes today.

The counter has seen trades of around six crore shares so far on the BSE.

Reliance Energy has soared 2.8% to Rs 1,015. Bharti Airtel and Grasim have surged 2.3% each to Rs 912 and Rs 3,450, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Ambuja Cements have rallied 1.7% each to Rs 576 and Rs 149, respectively.

Maruti has advanced 1.5% to Rs 924. SBI is up 1% at Rs 1,778.

Satyam has plunged 3.6% to Rs 406. ITC has shed 2.5% to Rs 189.

TCS and Infosys have dropped nearly 2% each to Rs 982 and Rs 1,767, respectively. Ranbaxy has slipped 1.6% to Rs 401.

Wipro and Cipla are down 1.3% each to Rs 428 and Rs 167, respectively.

Out of 2,728 stocks traded so far, 1,452 have declined, 1,223 have advanced and 53 are unchanged.
