Sensex down 500pts, Hindalco drops 5%

The Sensex has dropped 500 points to 17,640.

Reliance has declined over 4% to Rs 2,445.

L&T is still down nearly 4% at Rs 3,639. NTPC has slipped 4% to Rs 209. RCom has dropped 4% to Rs 652.

Hindalco has declined nearly 5% to Rs 165.

ITC has slipped over 3% to Rs 193.

ICICI Bank and Infosys are still down over 2.5% each.

Declining shares are ahead of advances - out of 2,800 scrips traded, 1,700 have declined.
