The BSE index, the Sensex, has slipped deeper into red and is now down 500 points at 10,131.

The Sensex has slipped back to lower levels and is now down 253 points at 10,378.
Reliance has slumped 11% to Rs 1,296. Tata Steel has plunged 9% to Rs 218.
Reliance Communications has tumbled 8.5% to Rs 230. Grasim and DLF have shed around 7% each at Rs 1,050 and Rs 270, respectively.
HDFC has slipped 5.5% to Rs 1,809. ACC has declined over 5% to Rs 480.
Tata Motors, Sterlite and Jaiprakash Associates are down around 4.5% each at Rs 185, Rs 276 and Rs 86, respectively.
Wipro and TCS have surged 3.3% each to Rs 272 and Rs 525, respectively.
Satyam has moved up 2.4% to Rs 285.

ICICI Bank has rallied 2% to Rs 468. Maruti and Infosys are up around 1.5% each at Rs 625 and Rs 1,356, respectively.
The market breadth is marginally positive - out of 2,471 stocks traded so far, 1,218 have advanced, 1,170 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
