Sensex down 50pts; BHEL, Infosys perk up

The Sensex is now down 50 points at 14,133.

Satyam has tumbled 4% to Rs 468. Ranbaxy has slipped over 2% to Rs 406.

HDFC Bank, Reliance Energy and Gujarat Ambuja have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,048, Rs 507 and Rs 146, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has shed 1.3% to Rs 673. Wipro, ICICI Bank and Hindalco are down 1% each at Rs 615, Rs 976 and Rs 164, respectively.

BHEL has advanced 1.3% to Rs 2,298. Infosys has moved up 1% to Rs 2,225.

Out of 2,557 stocks traded so far, 1,356 have advanced, 1,147 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
