Sensex down 50pts in early trades

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 63 points at 15,896, and soon slipped into the negative zone. The index is now down 50 points at 15,782.

The NSE Nifty is down seven points at 4,764.

BHEL has dropped over 2% to Rs 1,715. Infosys has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,498.

Most of the stocks are trading on a flat note.
