Sensex down 513pts; Bajaj Auto gains 2%

The Sensex is now down 513 points at 17,849.

The NSE Nifty is down 192 points at 5,191.

Infosys has slumped 6% to Rs 1,431, and SBI has tumbled 5.8% to Rs 2,266.

Reliance Communications and DLF have plunged around 5.5% each to Rs 632 and Rs 894, respectively.

Wipro and Bharti Airtel have slipped over 5% each to Rs 407 and Rs 869, respectively.

BHEL and HDFC Bank have dropped around 4.5% each at Rs 2,065 and Rs 1,528, respectively. Reliance has shed 4.3% at Rs 2,497.

NTPC, ONGC, TCS and Tata Motors have declined 4% each to Rs 213, Rs 974, Rs 846 and Rs 684, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 2,306.

Out of 2,635 stocks traded so far, 2,150 have declined, 453 have advanced and 32 are unchanged.
