Sensex down 530pts; Bharti gains 2%

The Sensex is now down 530 points at 15,445.

The NSE Nifty is down 127 points at 4,644.

Larsen & Toubro has slumped 10% to Rs 2,694.

BHEL and Reliance Energy have tumbled nearly 9% each to Rs 1,852 and Rs 1,157, respectively.

ICICI Bank has shed 4.5% at Rs 853. Reliance Communications has plunged 4% to Rs 522.

DLF, Hindalco and Bajaj Auto have slipped 3.7% each to Rs 633, Rs 189 and Rs 1,820, respectively.

NTPC has dropped 3.5% to Rs 179. Satyam, Reliance and  HDFC Bank are down over 3% each to Rs 410, Rs 2,178 and Rs 1,246, respectively.

Bhati Airtel has surged 2.5% to Rs 770, and Mahindra & Mahindra is down over 1% to Rs 674.
