Sensex down 536pts; REL, Bharti lead fall

The Sensex touched a low of 15,532, and is now down 536 points at 15,592.

The NSE Nifty is down 169 points at 4,703.

Reliance Energy and Bharti Airtel have plunged over 5.5% each to Rs 1,251 and Rs 765, respectively.

Reliance, BHEL and Wipro have slumped over 4.5% each to Rs 2,265, Rs 1,923 and Rs 372, respectively.

NTPC and Reliance Communications have tumbled over 4% each to Rs 186 and Rs 517, respectively.

ICICI Bank, SBI, Larsen & Toubro, TCS and DLF are down nearly 4% each.

Bajaj Auto and Maruti, however, have gained 1% each at Rs 2,117 and Rs 867, respectively.
