Sensex down 55pts; ACC, Reliance weak

The Sensex is now down 55 points at 17,771.

The NSE Nifty is down 16 points at 5,252.

SBI and Ambuja Cements have dropped over 2% each to Rs 2,035 and Rs 120, respectively.

ACC and Reliance have shed 1.8% each at Rs 801 and Rs 2,543, respectively.

DLF has declined 1.5% to Rs 812. Wipro and ICICI Bank are down 1% each at Rs 435 and Rs 1,103, respectively.

Hindalco has surged 2.3% to Rs 201, and Cipla has rallied over 2% to Rs 206.

Mahindra & Mahindra and HDFC have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 668 and Rs 2,720, respectively.

Bajaj Auto is up over 1% at Rs 2,200.

Out of 2,698 stocks traded so far, 1,543 have declined, 1,092 have advanced and 63 are unchanged.
