Sensex down 55pts; Satyam drops 4%

The Sensex is now down 55 points to 14,955.

Reliance Energy and ACC have soared over 3% each to Rs 632 and Rs 1,069, respectively.

Tata Steel has rallied 2.5% to Rs 650. Hindalco has gained 2% at Rs 158.

Grasim has moved up 1.8% to Rs 2,776. Bajaj Auto and BHEL are up over 1% each at Rs 2,155 and Rs 1,586, respectively.

Satyam has plunged nearly 4% to Rs 478. Infosys has shed 3.5% at Rs 1,951, and TCS have dropped over 3% to Rs 1,149. Wipro has slipped 1.5% to Rs 513.

Ambuja Cements and NTPC are down 1% each at Rs 129 and Rs 154, respectively.

Out of 2,500 stocks traded so far, 1,395 have advanced, 1,026 have declined and 79 are unchanged.
