Sensex down 55pts; Wipro spurts 2%

The Sensex is down 55 points at 10,096.

Wipro and Bajaj Auto have gained 2.3% each at Rs 486 and Rs 2,650, respectively.

BHEL has moved up 1.8% to Rs 1,831. Reliance Energy and Hindalco are up over 1% each at Rs 444 and Rs 163, respectively.

Reliance Communications has tumbled over 4% to Rs 219. HDFC has shed 3.7% to Rs 1,049.

ONGC has dropped 2.7% to Rs 1,034. Dr.Reddy's and HDFC Bank have declined over 2% each to Rs 1,272 and Rs 724, respectively.

Out of 2,260 stocks traded so far, 1,500 have declined, 694 have advanced and 66 are unchanged.
