Sensex down 56pts; breadth +ve

The Sensex is now down 56 points to 14,954.

Reliance Energy and ACC have surged over 3% each to Rs 633 and Rs 1,069, respectively.

Grasim and Tata Steel have rallied 2% each to Rs 2,780 and Rs 646, respectively.

BHEL and Hindalco are up 1% each at Rs 1,584 and Rs 157, respectively.

Satyam has plunged 3.7% to Rs 479. Infosys and TCS have shed 3.4% each to Rs 1,951 and Rs 1,147, respectively.

Wipro and Tata Motors have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 514 and Rs 735, respectively.

ITC, NTPC and Ambuja Cements are down 1% each.

Out of 2,460 stocks traded so far, 1,333 have advanced, 1,040 have declined and 87 are unchanged.
