Sensex down 56pts; breadth -ve

The Sensex is now down 56 points at 14,240.

Hindalco is trading at Rs 124 on the back of ex-rights adjustment.

DLF, HDFC Bank and BHEL have slipped around 1.3% each to Rs 472, Rs 1,218 and Rs 1,660, respectively.

SBI, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Infrastructure have declined 1% each to Rs 1,317, Rs 2,551 and Rs 957, respectively.

Sterlite and Bharti Airtel have gained 1.5% each at Rs 622 and Rs 816, respectively.

ACC and Ranbaxy have advanced 1% each to Rs 564 and Rs 517, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,267 stocks traded so far, 1,253 have declined, 912 have advanced and 102 are unchanged.
