Sensex down 56pts; HDFC, Tata Steel drop 2%

The Sensex is now down 56 points at 13,715.

ACC and HLL have dropped over 2.5% each to Rs 853 and Rs 185, respectively.

HDFC, Cipla and Tata Steel have shed 2% each to Rs 1,644, Rs 204 and Rs 565, respectively.

Reliance Energy has slipped 1.8% to Rs 506. HDFC Bank, Wipro and Grasim are down 1.7% each to Rs 995, Rs 543 and Rs 2,448, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has soared over 3% to Rs 2,691. Reliance Communications has rallied over 2% to Rs 475.

Infosys and NTPC are up 1% each at Rs 1,992 and Rs 153, respectively.

Out of 2,529 stocks traded so far, 1,342 have declined, 1,108 have advanced and 79 are unchanged.
