Sensex down 572pts; L&T, REL lead fall

The Sensex is now down 572 points at 15,404.

The NSE Nifty is down 135 points at 4,636.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has slumped 11% to Rs 2,659. Reliance Energy (REL) has plunged 10.5% to Rs 1,135.

BHEL has tumbled over 8% to Rs 1,860. Bajaj Auto and Reliance have shed 4.7% each at Rs 1,799 and Rs 2,143, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Reliance Communications have dropped 4.3% each to Rs 855 and Rs 520, respectively.

HDFC Bank has slipped 4% to Rs 1,235. DLF and Maruti are down 3.5% each at Rs 634 and Rs 900, respectively.

Bhati Airtel and ONGC have gained 1.3% each at Rs 761 and Rs 967, respectively. Mahindra & Mahindra is up 1% at Rs 673.
