Sensex down 57pts

The Sensex is now down 57 points at 8,593.

Reliance is still down 2.4% (Rs 19) at Rs 789. ONGC has dropped 1.7% (Rs 18) to Rs 1,055. SBI is down Rs 14 at Rs 926. HLL is down 1.6% (Rs 3) to Rs 181. ITC is still down Rs 3 at Rs 135.

Infosys has added Rs 3 to Rs 2,531. Satyam has gained Rs 6 to Rs 557, and TCS is also up Rs 6 at Rs 1,478.

Bajaj is up Rs 18 at Rs 1,682. Grasim has added Rs 4 to Rs 1,325.

HDFC is up Rs 10 at Rs 1,029. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank are also trading with gains.

The breadth continues to be bearish - out of 2,494 scrips traded till now, 2,284 (92%) have declined, 197 have advanced and 13 are unchanged.
