Sensex down 57pts; Bharti, NTPC up 1%

The Sensex has recovered from the day's low and is now down 57 points at 14,371.

Reliance Energy has shed 2.5% to Rs 708. Wipro, Infosys and SBI have slipped over 2% each to Rs 459, Rs 1790 and Rs 1,519, respectively.

TCS and Satyam have dropped 1.8% each to Rs 1,035 and Rs 425, respectively. Reliance Communications has declined 1.7% to Rs 500.

Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and Hindalco are down 1.3% each at Rs 196, Rs 861 and Rs 140, respectively.

BHEL has gained 1.3% at Rs 1,631. Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel and NTPC are up 1% each at Rs 649, Rs 835 and Rs 166, respectivley.

Out of 2,521 stocks traded so far, 1,623 have declined, 843 have advanced and 55 are unchanged.
