Sensex down 58pts at 11,972

The Sensex is now down 58 points at 11,972.

Larsen & Toubro has surged 2% to Rs 2,761. ONGC and ITC have gained 1.5% each at Rs 1,361 and Rs 203, respectively.

Hindalco has spurted 1.3% to Rs 214. HLL is up 1% at Rs 288.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank has declined over 3% each to Rs 821 and Rs 572, respectively.

Satyam has plunged 3.7% to Rs 779. Wipro has dropped 2.6% to Rs 535. Infosys has declined over 2% to Rs 3,228.

Tata Power is down 1.3% to Rs 572. Dr.Reddy's and Tata Motors have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,464 and Rs 968, respectively.

Out of 2,535 stocks traded so far, 1,450 have advanced, 1,027 declined and 58 are unchanged.
