Sensex down 58pts; Ranbaxy up 4%

The Sensex is now down 58 points at 10,218.

Ranbaxy has surged 4% to Rs 385. Satyam and RCoVL has rallied nearly 3% each to Rs 704 and Rs 255, respectively.

HDFC Bank has added 1.3% to Rs 741.

Larsen & Toubro and HDFC are down over 3% each at Rs 2,126 and Rs 1,087, respectively.

NTPC and BHEL have shed 1.7% each at Rs 115 and Rs 1,839, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Hero Honda and Tata Steel have declined 1.5% each to Rs 505, Rs 759 and Rs 482, respectively.
